Poets on the Beach

Poets on the Beach is made up of Brandon DeLuna and Zachary Mennell. We were founded on November 5th, 2011 as a joke indie band who wrote intentionally cheesy music about friends and faith. We ended up trying to write an album, but only truly finished recording about 4 or 5 songs before giving up due to lack of recording experience (we were using Audacity to record, yikes).

Years later, after living A LOT of life and experiencing all sorts of pain, anger, loss, hurt, acceptance, growth, and joy, we decided it was time to come back with a vengeance. We wanted to write again, but this time about music that we needed to hear. Music about the struggle of changing your worldview, the loss of absolute certainty, growing up, depression, rebuilding, religious trauma, getting up again, and taking life by the horns.

Our goal is to write music that we stand behind completely. Just banger after banger that are authentic and straight up catchy.

We hope you enjoy the fruits of our labor and get something from our music. Every note and word were painstakingly chosen. This is just the beginning. There is more to come...
