Polvo Disco, led by Argentine musician and producer Alexander Longstaff, has been innovating since 2012, blending electronic music with oceanic and Latin American influences. Alexander's journey began in Buenos Aires as a DJ and keyboardist for the band Alai. In 2007, seeking new inspirations, he moved to New Zealand where, by 2008, he had become a resident DJ at Wildfire nightclub, promoting Latin music and undergoing a significant artistic transformation.
The project's music, characterized by compositions in Spanish, represents a return to Alexander’s cultural roots and an exploration of new creative paths. Reflecting on his evolution, Alexander says, "Living abroad deepened my appreciation for Latin American music's style, geography, and cultural contexts. I realized the importance of looking inward with the same intensity I once looked outward, leading to a revitalized approach in my music and the creation of Polvo Disco.
