Hailing from Victoria, British Columbia, this four part band is unhindered by the constraints of genre. Josh Ralphs (Guitar/Bass), Madi Buckham (Vocals), Tobo Vergara (Drums), and Sam Brouwer (Keys/Bass) all bring their various musical tastes to the group. The result is a diverse sound incorporating and alternating between elements of Alternative, Blues, Rock, Synth Pop, Soul, Reggae, Latin, & Jazz. The band was officially formed in November 2015 as AM/FM and planned on releasing a project in the summer of 2016. That never panned out, but four and a half years and five names later, Poncho + The Rain released their debut EP "The Exit". This project was initially supposed to be their last; however, due to ample spare time during the COVID-19 pandemic, the band released a self-recorded quarantine single, No Place to Go, before officially announcing their hiatus in late 2020.
