PongoFromTheS

The versatile French Canadian artist PongoFromTheS really considered making music his passion following the release of his single Now Tell Me in 2015. Since then, a variety of projects completed while honing his craft allowed him the opportunity to collaborate with internationally known artists and producers such as Zaytoven and Denzl.

Born in Quebec City to parents of Haitian, Congolese (DRC) and Belgian descents, PongoFromTheS grew up in a household heavily influenced by artists such as Michael Jackson, Wyclef Jean, Fally Ipupa, Carimi and Alpha Blondy to name a few, which inspired him to start writing songs at the age of 8 years old.

PongoFromTheS gets his name from the neighborhood he grew up in, Sainte-Foy. He proudly represents and mentions the area in his work while sharing the perspective of locals and foreigners he routinely interacts with as a resident of Sainte-Foy.


From dancehall to pop-rap or afro, the artist makes the most of his surroundings by using different genres to create his unique sound.
