What happens when you put together the songwriting style of dream-folk prodigy Emily Brandi aka Fourtuna with the ever-evolving no holds barred antics of genre-chameleon Lazer Viking, the raw garage rock nostalgia of Wild Tides and Genuine Jacks and add a touch of Tana Lvovska’s pop sensibility on top?

You’ll find the answer on “Colors”, the debut single from newcomers PONYHENGE. The instantly classic chamber-pop ballad bursting with eerie synth landscapes, fuzzed out guitars and bone-chilling vocals is as much a nod to the timelessness of Fleetwood Mac thanks to Lazer Viking’s honest less-is-more production as it is a worthy rival to the contemporary chart-topping americana of Lana Del Rey.

“In the very beginning, I thought the mission was to locate a happy medium where everyone’s take on what makes a song truly great could comfortably meet and flourish,” explains Lazer Viking, “but it didn’t take long to realize that our true strength lies in letting everyone and everything unapologetically clash,” laughs PONYHENGE’s producer/guitarist when talking about the dynamic inside the six-piece band named after an obscure Massachusetts landmark.
