Robert "Pop" Riggins discovered his love of guitar music in the GI coffee houses of Portsmouth, NH while serving as a Staff Sargent in the US Air Force. There he met a colonel's son and talented musician, Dick Clark (no not THE Dick Clark), who brought Pop to these cultural hubs where he was thrust into the world of folk and country music.
After his time in the service he returned to his home town right outside of Baltimore, MD where he reunited with and married the love of his life, Carol Riggins.
Pop and Carol built their home on the Thomas Point peninsula.
Then over the next several decades they spent their time raising a family, fishing, crabbing, boating, drinking, and playing music all along the way.
