Poppy Brothers is an American electropop duo consisting of vocalist James Tillman and producer Matthew Taylor. In 2012 the real life brothers released three radically different songs online which ranged from smooth R&B to thick alternative rock. However, it was the slick electropop gem “One” that caught fire and would go on to be featured in multiple ad campaigns and TV shows, most notably Netflix's "13 Reasons Why".
The creative partnership between James and Matthew extends beyond just music, as the brothers also collaborate to create video games under the label Catch & Release. 2018 marked a unique occasion as the duo released PlayStation VR title "Cold Iron" alongside its soundtrack, an adventurous collection ranging from Wild West whistles to the hard hitting electropop the brothers have become known for.
