A little bit of rock and roll mixed with modern sound. Porter J O’Neal (PJO) is a multi-rock genre artist ranging anywhere from soft rock, hip hop, to rock and roll. Taking heavy influence from artists like The Black Keys, Nirvana, Weezer, Mac Miller, Jawny, and other Various artists.
PJO was Born May 30th 2001 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He was raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. In the 10th grade PJO began his music career with his high school band Beach Fade which later transformed into being the drummer for The Lakes. Near the end of The Lakes run as a band Porter struggled with homelessness surfing couch to couch, which may sound familiar as it is a heavy topic in his song “Low Life” off of the “Wavy ruf Drag” EP. In December of 2021 shortly after The Lakes had broken up and renamed he released his first EP “Flower Girl” having the song “Make the sun go down again (bring out the dark)” reach over 50,000 streams in the first year.
