With their uncompromising fusion of rap, graffiti and fashion; Posseshot are reviving an era of street culture where authenticity reigned supreme. Comprised of Muscles and KHA, the hip-hop duo have become central to the counterculture movement that moves swiftly through all corners of Melbourne. Posseshot's rugged stories are that of Melbourne folklore, backed by abrasive, gloomy production that harks back to the scene's glory days of hardcore hip-hop.
Posseshot's trilogy of albums have already produced some of the scene's most oft-quoted street anthems, while their compilation album 'Cityloop' - which featured some of Melbourne's most influential rappers including Alex Jones and Bias B - showed their extensive reach over the city. Internationally, Posseshot have collaborated with rap legends like Onyx, as well as hardcore punk veterans like Danny Diablo (Crown of Thornz, Skarhead).
Their notoriously chaotic live show has packed out venues across two Australian tours, including cross-genre gigs with Australian bands like SPEED, Shady Nasty and Born Free; also bringing their sets to festivals like RISING, Yours & Owls and Belco Bowl.
Bridging the gap between formative OGs and the current hip-hop landscape, Posseshot's central ethos will continue to keep Melbourne firmly on the map.
