Postburn is a metalband from Kuopio, Northern Savonia, Finland. The band was founded in 2024 and was initially made up of drummer Antti and guitarist Teemu, who have known each other since their youth. Soon it was noticed that a vocalist and a bass player were needed as a few songs were already in some frames. Fortunately, we discovered that Niilo, a friend from our youth, had returned to his roots in Savo. Niilo was the last piece missing from this band. Fortunately for us, he agreed. The latest addition to the band is a second guitarist, Henkka, who helps the band achieve the live sound that can be heard in the released singles.
We grew up to the tune of Metallica, In Flames and Pantera. We are completely self-sufficient in terms of producing music, so we can make songs that we think sound good. If you like metal with a thrash/rock/punk vibe, then this is a band you should check out and give a listen to.
New Breed of Slaves was the first single released from the three-song EP in 2024. The next single to be released will be Counting Scars because we all have scars to count in our lives and relationships. The latest release is the EP Eye of the Storm, which contains three songs, released in July 2025. You could say that this three-song combo has something for metal fans to like. Next year, the single Running From The Dead will be released as soon as January 9, 2026, so stay tuned.
