Postmodern Living are an indie rock band from Manchester. Forming in March 2024 under a different name, the band quickly evolved sonically. Originally taking inspiration from fellow Mancunians Buzzcocks and writing punk tunes rooted in pop melodies, the band swiftly moved onto more experimental writing, both musically and lyrically. As the band grew in their writing and performance, they also grew as a group, with them getting what is now their current lineup in September 2024. Over the next few months, the band worked on perfecting their craft, writing songs such as, ‘Jack’s Song’, ‘Scarlet Eyes’ and ‘Laces’. In March 2025, almost a year to the day of their formation, the band played their debut gig at the renowned NIAMOS Centre, famously hosting the Beatles first radio broadcast in 1962. In the months that came after, the band played a spree of gigs, including their first outside Greater Manchester. In August, PML released their debut single ‘Jack’s Song’ and its B-Side ‘Running’. Prior to its release, alternative versions of Jack’s Song were played on the radio. Since then, Postmodern Living have played their first sold-out show in Withington’s Fuel Bar and have continued to improve with every gig they play. The band continue to write and are now back recording once again – make sure to keep an eye out for new stuff!
