Potential Wonder

Potential Wonder is an indie-folkrock group from the deep silty south of the Dutch lowlands. An ancient archipelago reclaimed from the sea by middle-age monks. It’s transected by picturesque dikes and water-rich lakes. The music originates from blooming blossoms and ferocious western storms blowing over from mighty river arms.

The band was founded in 2016 and consists of three singers, all both lead-singer as backing vocalist. This versatile trio also plays various instruments. A The Band inspired drummer and a funk-crazed bassist form the rhythm section.

The five band members of Potential Wonder create an evening full of musical joy due to an unique and diverse assembly of instruments and vocal lines. To make the story complete they have wide variety of musical influences, which leads to a never genre-bound repertoire: always interesting for a wide range of musical enthusiasts.

Potential Wonder contains the following musicians: Teun van Staveren (saxophone, guitar and vocals), Dries van Staveren (bass), Esther de Rijke (vocals, percussion, guitar), Jurian van der Stoep (synths, vocals, guitar) and Gerard Steur (drums).
