Pouyan Kazemian was born on August 26. 1987 in the city of Hamedan, Iran in an art-loving family. He first learned music from his father, who is a ney player, and at the age of twelve began studying singing to learn the vocal technique of Persian classical music with its traditional radif with Master Mehdi Mobtagha. To deepen his singing skills, he took accompanying setar (Persian long-necked lute) lessons under the supervision of Master Reza Jamshidian. His academic musical studies began with his admission to the Conservatory of Music in Isfahan. He pursued the study of the radif and tar (Persian long-necked lute) under masters such as Arshad Tahmasebi, Yadollah Sayareh, and Reza Rezvan, and continued to take vocal lessons. In particular, he benefited from learning singing in the presence of Master Mohammad Reza Lotfi and Master Ali Jahandar. For further musical training, in the field of classical opera singing, he migrated to Germany to study at the Dr. Hochs Conservatory of Music Academy in Frankfurt am Main under Professor Edmund Brownless. Now, for the propagation of Persian classical music, he gives performances and is a private teacher of various Persian plucked instruments and classical Persian singing.
