Play, improv, repetition and imperfection are at the heart of Power Strip, a project defined by the attempt to release control and explore the art of process. The process of musical exploration is in itself a method of magic making, through letting oneself simply experience the world's offerings rather than trying to understand or find validation through them. Utilizing looping lullabies, layered drone, and ambient soundscapes, Power Strip explores the realms of experimental pop, post-rock and shoegaze, culminating in a genre fluid experiential play on structure and expectation.
