Praise My Pain is a melodic death metal duo founded in Helsinki in 2024. The band released its debut EP "To Die Today" in April 2025 — a raw and emotional record exploring themes of pain, self-inflicted harm, and the damage we wish to inflict on others.
Vocalist Topi Seppälä draws inspiration from Gothenburg metal as well as American death metal, shaping a vocal style that is both intense and emotionally charged. Guitarist Taneli Puotiniemi blends influences from 2000s metalcore, modern metal, and elements of groove and thrash metal, crafting a distinctive and heavy guitar sound.
These intersecting themes and musical backgrounds gave birth to Praise My Pain. The result is a four-track EP defined by its melancholic atmosphere, piercing screams, and razor-sharp guitar tones.
