Prasad Sashte is a music composer/producer who has been working in the Indian film industry since 1999.

For over 22 years, he has contributed his life to film music. He started his career with the blockbuster movie Devdas. Since then he has worked on numerous successful projects such as Love Aaj Kal, Singh is Kinng, Ready, Bajrangi Bhaijaan Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Commando, Holiday: A Soldier Who’s Never Off Duty, Dangal, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Kalank, Dilwale, Atithi Bhooto Bhava, Laal Singh Chaddha, Barfi!, Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, Ginny Weds Sunny, Jab Harry Met Sejal, Singham, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and many more.

He also gave background score for Marathi movies such as Zenda, Kshan Bhar Vishranti, Golmal and Moryaa. For Golmal, he has produced songs such as ‘Pari Mhanu Ki Sundara’ , ‘Hi Gulabi Hawa’. He has also produced the songs Tu, and Saragam in ‘Kshan Bhar Vishranti’

Some of his recent works were Brahmastra, Laal Singh Chaddha (Tere Hawale), Atithi Bhooto Bhava, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani, Dunki, Tiger 3, etc.

Some of his achievements are: Filmfare Nomination (Background Score: Brahmastra–Shiva), Radio Mirchi Award (Best Music Producer: Kalank), Sahyadri Award (Background Score: Mourya), V Shantaram (Background Score: Mourya), MaTa Samman (Special Award in Hindi Contribution), Radio Mirchi Award (Best Programmer: Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani), Radio Mirchi Award (Best Music Producer: Kalank)
