Prayers & Prejudice (P&P) is a Filipino indie band that swings across alternative pop, soul and R&B to create their unique sound, weaving through lyrics that echo adulting experiences, and sometimes, social commentaries and advocacies.
Current members include Moon Danipog (vocals/keys), Jikjik Tumbado (bass), Shan Marasigan (guitars), and Gerome Reyes (drums; former drummer was Jobim Nillo).
While having varied influences as individual musicians, they consider D'Sound and Up Dharma Down as the prominent artists inspiring their music, while occasionally borrowing soulful vibes from various R&B/soul artists.
P&P is a darling performer among intimate spaces for which they launched "MOMENTS: An Intimate Gig Series" in February 2023 in collaboration with small local cafes and other artists. They have also played alongside some notable artists like Aia de Leon, Jensen Gomez, Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas, Basically Saturday Night, Caren Tevanny, Zsaris, and Terno Recording artists, among others. Among the venues where they have shared their music include 12 Monkeys, 70's Bistro, SaGuijo Cafe, Balcony Music House, Unknown13 Pub, Amrak Music Hall, Baked Studios, Loqui's Place, Retro Coffee House, Phono Record Bar, Xaymaca, etc. The band was also one of the Manila finalists for the 2024 Bobapalooza Music Festival.
The band has joined the roster of artists of Ditto Plus in October 2023.
