Premium Leisure

Guitarist/Producer Chris Barker is the chief songwriter and producer behind Premium Leisure. In between recording sessions and touring as Willie J Healey's guitarist, Chris invites his friends to the studio in Oxford to jam and collaborate on his songs. Combining the assured guitar tones of White Denim and the unrelenting groove of 1970s psych-pop, the band create a naturally live sound with an abundance noodles and licks.

Premium Leisure enlists a fine line-up of revolving UK musicians, with drummer Mike Monaghan (Gaz Coombes, LYR), multi-instrumentalist Casper Miles (Billie Marten, Enny) guitarist Jack Kendrew (Malena Zavala, Josef Salvat), bassist Harry Deacon (Palace, Willie J Healey) and drummer George Purnell (Preen) and many guest musicians all joining forces to contribute Premium Leisure's recordings and live shows.

In December, Premium Leisure dropped their debut album following a vibrant run of single releases and music videos over the year of 2023, celebrating this era with very well received end of year knees up in Oxford.

The band previously released a 4-track EP, 'Easy FM', through London label Plum Cuts, founded by producer Oli Barton-Wood. With support from BBC Radio 1 and Radio X.
