Press is an independent male artist from Norristown, Pennsylvania. A true lyrical story teller that uses a variety of beats.


Press' love for lyricism started at the age of 9 when he was exposed to rap for the first time. The very first album he ever owned was "Stillmatic" by Nas. It was when Press heard "One Mic" that he knew he wanted to be able to rap like Nas. However Press grew up suppressing his desire to be an artist. Mainly because he wanted to avoid the negative perception of someone having rap dreams. Despite his unwillingness to release music, he still enjoyed writing. It wasn't until Press mid-20's that he felt the need to break out of his shell and finally record music.

Which leads us to his feature project "I Know Why The Caged Bird Raps". The album is made up of 10 songs exploring different moments in Press' life. While every song isn't entirely about him, he finds away to add his personal convictions into the overall themes of each song. The well written and produced album is highlighted by a touching tribute to the late Kobe Bryant.

You can look for Press to release plenty of music in the future as his journey has only just begun.
