Pretty Horses is a Northern California band led by singer-songwriter John Foust (Sons of Eden; The Storyboards). Their eponymous album, released in 2011, drew comparisons to The Hold Steady and Lucero for its lyrical storytelling and catchy bar-rock riffs. Their follow-up album, Sweet California, is a modern evocation of the golden era of California country rock (think Eagles Greatest Hits Vol I).
