Emerging from the streets of Denver, Colorado, Prince Lit's journey as a gospel rapper is as inspiring as his music.
Born Prinjastin, his early life was marked by hardship, including aging out of the foster care system and facing
homelessness at 18. In the face of adversity, Prince Lit found solace in poetry, joining Art From Ashes, a non-profit
supporting struggling youth through creative expression. This passion for words later evolved into a fervent music
career, paving the way for him to become a significant voice in the indie rap scene.
Prince Lit's early life challenges didn’t deter his ambition; instead, they fueled his artistic journey. Through the
Bridging the Gap Program at Mile High United Way and the support of the Family Unification Program, he stabilized his
life and pursued his musical dreams. His persistence opened doors to opportunities, including internships at the
Supreme Court building and the Office of Homeless Youth and Development.
