MA-M£, pronounced “Mami,” is an emerging artist born in the United States who made the vibrant city of Abuja, Nigeria her home at the age of six. She masterfully blends Afrobeats with hip-hop and pop, crafting a sound that feels both fresh and familiar. With a vision that transcends borders, MA-M£'s music reflects a global perspective, skillfully weaving local and international influences through her innovative production and poignant lyrics
Her artistic journey began early, with a childhood steeped in dance and musical theatre, laying the groundwork for her distinctive style. At 16, MA-M£ moved to London, where she completed A-levels and pursued a degree in Marketing & Advertising.
In 2022, her path brought her to New York City, where she began sculpting her fashion vision at the New York School of Design. There, she launched her “Black Barbie” campaign in 2023, debuting her stunning womenswear line crafted from crochet.
