Since their formation in 2013 PRIOR THE END stand for energy, emotion and constant change. Rooted in the loud side of music the quintet values stylistic diversity and variety in songwriting. After gaining recognition in the local scene and shows with EVERGREEN TERRACE and NAPOLEON the band released the concept-album “The Worst Is Yet To Come” via Timezone Records. Praised by the media for refreshing and grounded compositions, the combo released the aggressive One-Off Single “Irukandji”. After completing their anniversary tour throughout Bavaria, the group began working on their second record in 2019. Supported by a successful crowdfunding-campaign and a meticulous recording-phase, the band stands ready with their new album “Cutting My Roots” to set a musical exclamation mark.
Know where you come from, look ahead and live in the moment. But where to take root when change is the only constant. On their second record PRIOR THE END dedicate themselves to the method of choice. “Cutting My Roots” examines progress, stalemate and retreat in three acts. Backed by confident writing and stylistic diversity twelve songs serve as a soundtrack to the instability of life. The ups and downs of anger and humility are represented in dynamic compositions suitable not only for listeners in the realm of Rock and Metal. With a passion for big melodies, eagerness for experiments and accentuated heaviness PRIOR THE END deliver an emotional album persistently pushing their musical boundaries.
