Born and raised in Atlanta’s Kirkwood, a neighborhood known for being the birthplace of many well-known rappers and public figures, Problem Child5 born Mikal Gunn is an emerging artist to watch. Problem acknowledges that growing up in Kirkwood influences his music, “I'm not going to say it was hard, but it wasn't easy growing up there. It wasn't a war zone, but I had to learn how to move, and how to survive. I grew up getting money. I was young as hell like 12 years old, drinking Bacardi at the bootleg and hanging out. That's what I came from. That’s what I rap about.” His authenticity and raw talent caught the attention of Duct Tape Ent. CEO and public figure Big Bank Black and world-renowned artist and cultural icon Future who became both mentors and supporters of his career. Problem Child5’s first EP release King Opp will be on all platforms Nov. 20th with features from his mentor Future as well as fellow Atlanta rapper Young Thug. Singles “Opps Dead” and “Da Tooly” featuring Young Thug are already available on all streaming platforms.
