Brooklyn-based rap artist Profit Elijah makes music rooted in lived experience, introspection, and the belief that saying something still matters. Raised on the lyricism and storytelling of artists like Wu-Tang Clan, Tupac and Nas, he writes from both sides of the American experience—growing up poor, finding financial success, and learning firsthand how quickly circumstances can change and everything can unravel.
His debut album, Prophets and Losses, was written during a period of turbulence and reflection. Across 14 tracks, Profit Elijah examines life, loyalty, politics, relationships, identity, success, failure and survival without pretending to have all the answers.
Featuring appearances from Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Kool G Rap, Joell Ortiz and Action Bronson, Prophets and Losses pairs veteran lyricism with an artist determined to speak in his own voice.
