Psychic Air is the musical project of New Jersey based artist, writer and producer Taylor Parenti.
Consisting of mostly instrumental work, the project is constantly building on a blend of Alternative, Pop, Rock, Progressive Rock, Electronic and Synth Pop, as well as incorporating sensibilities and structures found in film scores.
The debut albums, "Year Theory" Volumes 1 - 4, is the collected works of a year long project in which the artist challenged himself to write, record, produce and release one original song every week for the 52 weeks of 2022.
The project includes a variety of styles and genres ranging from the opening track COLT, with it's 70's inspired spy theme, to 80's arena rock with such songs as Ritual Dance and City of Sound and Light. Along with a plethora of tracks that evoke Western and Americana scores all the way to dystopian synth soundscapes.
Fans of any genre and era of music will find something to love across all 4 albums.
In 2023 he released the full length dystopian electronic rock album, Isolate, as well as several EPs including Idol Frequencies and Monumentum. Both of which call back to his love of 2000s Alternative and Indie Rock.
2024 brought Old Magic, a classic rock infused album with hints of folk influences.
He released his first single of 2025, A Splinter In The Heartwood in January of that year.
It marks a new phase of Psychic Air. Expanding on progressive and experimental elements within an alternative rock structure.
