Los Angeles-based electronic duo Psychic Health return with
RAVESEND EXCESS, an 18-track, 88-minute collection of raw,
hypnotic techno drift. Out October 7th, it marks their fourth full-
length release, following 2015’s self-titled LP and 2017’s Exclusion
(both Time No Place), and 2021’s self-released The Spaces Between
Colors.
Known for their brooding techno structures and post-industrial
ambience, Psychic Health craft music with hardware synthesis,
external effects, and transformer saturation. This emotive collection
of tracks was built from improvisational live performance,
consciously moving away from programmed precision.
The duo’s sound has previously drawn praise as:
“Grungy techno and gothic… utterly immersive”
Boomkat (UK)
“Dubby, hypnotic techno and barbed industrial chug… invites
repeated listens.”
OYE Records (DE)
“Sharp, intuitive minimalism and unpolished energy.”
Forced Exposure (US)
Their music has reached global audiences through sync placements:
Cathedral appeared in Netflix’s Sense8, while their remix of
Choice featured on the official soundtrack for The Matrix Resurrections
(2021).
On RAVESEND EXCESS, the band push further into long-form, lived-
in textures. Tracks like Köln and Autumn Rhythm grind forward on
slow-motion percussion, while Aeon and the nine-minute closer
Elevate | The Way Out drift into immersive atmospheres.
