Paul Timmerman and Eric Caver (PTEC Dojo) met in the early 90’s while working at L.A. radio station KBIG - FM. Yes, two 20somethings working in Adult Contemporary Radio – go figure. While peddling t-shirts and other radio swag at local events they formed a bond over 80’s movie references and pop culture. After a few endless summers of beach volleyball and jamming in the studio, they consolidated their resources to form PTEC Dojo.

Dutchman Paul Timmerman brings over 25 years of live performing to the PTEC fold. As an accomplished drummer, keyboardist and guitarist for several bands ranging from Pop to Blues (including a band that opened for Grammy Award winner Taj Majal), Paul has a uniquely askew ear when it comes to music.

Eric Caver’s multi-cultural music history began like so many others…with Motown and in church. Playing guitar at age 10, trumpet at 13 and percussion at 16, music has been THE driving force in Eric’s life from the beginning. At age 17 he started DJ’ing and that’s where his obsession with remixing and production found an outlet. After moving to Los Angeles at age 18, he quickly developed his skills as an Audio Engineer and Music Editor.
