Baler band Public Places play welcomely modest indie rock imbued with a blunt lo-fi seaside hook. Formed in the summer of 2018 by Apa Rubio (drums), Kelvin Guzman (guitar), Tobit Rubio (vocals, guitar), and Zed Bernardino (bass), the bunch kicked off with a three-minute track called, "3 Lefts = 1 Right" released by Body Clock Records and Distro in 2019.
A mix of droll and sometimes absorbed guitar rock, Public Places EP was released by Catshelf Records in 2020. It was recorded in a now-defunct Redverb Studio with RJ Mabilin in Quezon City.
