Annapolis-born hip-hop artist and producer Alex “pureNickel” Nickel is known for his melodic half-sung/half-rapped vocal style. Within the first year of his arrival into the scene via collaboration with artist and producer Valious on their track “Lost!” he attained his unique sound that would continue to be experimented with. On his follow-up track Nickel teamed up with fellow Maryland-based artists and producers W.B.G. with their single "Trust Yourself", Nickel envisions the single to be a catalyst to help push his musical production.
Nickel takes musical inspiration from his idols Juice WRLD, Lil Peep, and he artist alike to create music that he hopes to hold a legacy like these artists have created. Outside of music Nickel aspires to expand his career into the clothing and street-wear scene as well with his brand ‘Relapse’. He desires to link both careers into one to express his emotions into both lyrics and physical art. Nickel’s brand is another outlet to push the suggestion that we shouldn’t become victims to societies desires.
