Purge of Lilith

Originally hailing from Alexandria, Virginia and crafting a mix of Deathcore, Blackened Death Metal, Goth, and Progressive Metal into their own unique sound, Purge of Lilith was founded in 2014, originally as a studio project by bassist/vocalist Josh Robey and vocalist Emilio Truitt as a way to write music during their time-off from other projects.

Shortly after releasing their demo, “Resurrection” online, the band was expanded into a six piece line-up, playing shows all across the Eastern United States, opening for acts such as <a href="spotify:artist:6OpFzG0Srh37pwJUdwsETa" data-name="I The Breather">I The Breather</a>. In 2015, the band recorded their single <a href="spotify:album:163RmV6VhoqXGYMPR0sHGK" data-name="Warrior">Warrior</a> featuring <a href="spotify:artist:4fsZkYcSEUEvZK2tEjzrVY" data-name="Jason Richardson">Jason Richardson</a> (ex- <a href="spotify:artist:4HgqjpBaWctBWVHafQIpRt" data-name="Born Of Osiris">Born Of Osiris</a>, ex-<a href="spotify:artist:4UgQ3EFa8fEeaIEg54uV5b" data-name="Chelsea Grin">Chelsea Grin</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2zgG1GPDvjaBgxeQaVXI14" data-name="All That Remains">All That Remains</a>). The band continued to tour throughout 2015-2016.

After a long hiatus came to a close in 2021, bassist/vocalist Josh Robey, and long time guitarist Trevor Matthews resurrected the band.

With original vocalist Emilio Truitt, the trio releasing the band’s first music videos for the singles, <a href="spotify:track:3WoUVbtY52RGhtNrdzddZZ" data-name="Believing is for the Dead">Believing is for the Dead</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:album:2xqKazmiIfLrIREJgNEwjG" data-name="Fall of Humanity">Fall of Humanity</a>. With the departure of Emilio Truitt and the additions of vocalist Anthony Michelli and original drummer Jack Jackson, the band released their debut EP, <a href="spotify:album:0eScMECiL0BgapozpqRnam" data-name="Found Footage">Found Footage</a> in 2022, and released the single, <a href="spotify:track:3CYhKinDXthCsz1ZhUTRUP" data-name="Our Cruelest Nature">Our Cruelest Nature</a> in 2023.

Presently, Josh Robey, Trevor Matthews, Anthony Michelli, and Jack Jackson continue to release music and tour across the United States as Purge of Lilith. Their second EP, <a href="spotify:album:445fe2bHWDkAf9lbVRMtjB" data-name="Lamashtu">Lamashtu</a> released March 3rd, 2025.
