Purple Trees

We are “Purple Trees” from Germany! Purple Trees? The origin of the name probably best describes our friendship, as four boys from the Harz. It all began in 2018. Jano, Jakob and Melvin: same year, same school, not looking for each other but finding each other anyway. In addition to making music together in school, we started our own band. After many discussions about the band name, “Purple Trees” was the one that stuck with us, finding its origin in an old insider. One night while celebrating, Jakob, while looking at a forest from a distance, randomly shouted: “Purple Trees!”.
In 2023, Ayke joined the band and, after numerous of different drummers, he filled the gap in the band. Now with a band complete Jano (vocals, bass), Jakob (lead guitar), Melvin (rhythm guitar) and Ayke (drums) covering a spectrum of melancholic alternative rock to progressive punk with a modern guitar sound.
That was our journey so far come and join us for the rest of the ride.
