Purr Gato exhales an attractive, positive, and occasionally ominous brand of sound using synths, effects, and rhythm. Katrina Kope, a schooled jazz/pop singer and composer, envelops the sound with her smoky blanket of vocals, and her haunting melodies building dreamy harmonies upon each other. Husband and co-producer, Tyler Kope, coaxes some unruly synthesizers to behave, and together, with Devin Bews driving a drum kit and more electronic machines, Purr Gato becomes something completely new, and yet still familiar.
