Music producer/rapper Pyro Merz evolved combining DJing, pyrotechnique and performing since the ´90s and releasing unofficial remixes and tapes from hip-hop to jungle. His productions are marked by funky, soul and dub sounds.
He records with great musicians and treats these tracks like samples. This D.I.Y. way defines his own vibe when traveling thru different genres. Pyro Merz grew up in the harbor city Hamburg. As a kid, he performed as juggler and saved this circus money to finally buy a Technics 1210 and a 4 track Tascam tape recorder. 1999 he was introduced to the digital hybrids with Cubase and Pro Tools. After his first band Belly Culture, several collaborations and international tours with DJ Suro, Mellow Mark, the Ruffcats, Martin Jondo, Gentleman, Saian Supa Crew and many more, he started the label „pyromusic“ with Scratch Dee in 2007 and is a vital member of the Puppetmastaz. Since then he is touring the map for shows, projects and workshops.
