As a kid growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, music served as a source of vitality for Q: it has been a consistent, impressionable element from childhood to adulthood. Music is rather a potent medium through which emotions could be both released and evoked. For Q, it has always been able to arouse untapped energy and has served as a dynamic source of inspiration. Enthralled by synthesizers and music videos from the 90s, this young boy dreamed big about becoming a music producer.
Influenced by U.S. mainstream and international music, Q invigorates his contemporary style with elements of world music. Q’s original inspirations come from Dr. Dre, Boyz II Men, LL Cool J and other leading artists from the 90s. Recent influences include San Holo, R3hab, Major Lazer, DJ Snake, Mustard, and London on da Track among others. Currently, Q is creating Electronic Dance, Hip Hop, and Pop. He also creates custom soundtracks for independent documentaries.
Q focuses on producing music for rising artists whose journey he hopes to watch unfold as they claim their space in mainstream music. Q pours his soul into modern music production as a way to contribute back to the world of music, which has so faithfully been available at his side throughout his life’s many rollercoasters.
