Maurício Naves has been into music since he was a kid, exploring different genres along the way. He finally dove into electronic music production in 2018 and debuted his hitech project called QAWAQ in 2019. Inspired by the ancient Andean civilization, known as Quechua, he brings a deep connection to people's energy and the universe into his work. In the shamanic Quechua language, the word for empath is "QAWAQ," which means "one who sees," stemming from the verb "Qaway," representing the ability to perceive vital energy. In his music, Maurício aims to capture the intensity, aesthetics, and composition of Hitech while keeping the psychedelic essence of Trance alive. With elements that evoke technology and robotics, combined with arrangements that explore repetition and melodies designed to ease trance states, his tracks are melodic and full of elements that fluctuate between 160 and 200 BPM.
