Melvin Q'Nilyon Colvard Jr, born June 16th, 1990, better known as "Q'Nilyon" is an inspiring, up and coming music producer, singer, rapper, songwriter, actor, and engineer. With his father Melvin Colvard Sr better known as "Big Mel" being in R.Kelly's debut group "Public Announcement" in the early 90's, music was meant to be in Q'Nilyon's life. Q'Nilyon started making music at a nimble age of twelve, when his father placed a computer and the Fl Studio program in his lap. Since the age of thirteen Q'Nilyon has hit the ground running, teaching himself how to play the piano and honing his skills to be a music producer.
Melvin Colvard Jr was born in Chicago, IL. Gang violence and shootings involving close family members caused the Chicago native to be uprooted to Kalamazoo, MI. This move seemed to be a blessing in disguise for him. Q'Nilyon was able to meet and collaborate with a lot young talent in the Kalamazoo area to better hone his skills. Since then Q'Nilyon has worked with: "THE OMG Girls", "RND", "Jacques Steele", and his own father "Big Mel". While he is building his portfolio rather rapidly we look forward to seeing what he does in the near future.
