Quails is the solo project of Canberra-based singer, producer and DJ Amy Pes.
Since emerging in 2016, her music has permeated international TV (Lucifer, Catfish), national radio (triple j, FBi), and late-night dancefloors, weaving shadowy R&B with future-facing breakbeat energy and luminous synths.
Quails creates melancholic yet propulsive audible love letters, fusing vulnerability with rhythm-heavy experimentation, while her collaborations with Route 8 (HU), 2XM (NZ), and Cortese (UK) stretch her creative vision across both borders and genres.
Since 2022, Quails has divided her creative pursuits between originals and DJ sets, landing slots on festivals including Groovin The Moo and in some of Canberra’s most iconic clubs.
In 2025 Quails launched an electronic mix series Wovxn, dedicated to spotlighting the selections of local Australian FLINTA and Queer artists.
