Queen Majeeda is a poet, recording artist, and author, born and raised on the island of Jamaica. She moved to New York, where she performed and recorded. She now resides in Florida. Her poetry and music reflect the times and issues of our global society.
Her poems are included in several anthologies, as well as her own compilation titled Talk of the Town. Majeeda has toured the United States, performing on college campuses, schools, libraries, and cafes, as well as various venues on her native island. She enjoys giving speaking engagements, concerts, and poetry recitals.

· Moved to a place where I didn’t know anyone just so I could escape the winters of New York. This Jamaican just could not acclimatize. Hello Florida!
