David Bergeron is a Vancouver-based musician who makes emotive and experimentally-driven ambient music under the alias Quiet i. His style is informed by improvisation and communication, with a sonic output that holds strong resonances within film and installation art.
Quiet i’s four conceptual albums explore texture, noise and ambience while embracing elements of harmonic arrangement. Each release is sonically unique, using a variety of creative production techniques, and coming from a diverse range of influences including Plunderphonics, classical composition, and Minimalism.
David holds a Bachelor of Music Honours and a Masters in Film and Media Arts from the University of Windsor. His work has been performed by ensembles across Ontario, with collaborations screened and exhibited across Canada and the U.S.A., and internationally in Europe and Iran.
