Quiet Observer is a solo project by German bassist and composer Maximilian Birkl.
It was officially started in early 2019 when recording began and Jonathan Rittirsch (vocals/guitar), Farina Rittisch (vocals), Chris Dovas (drums) and Michael Wöß (guitar, recording, mixing/mastering) were included into the project.
The music is rooted in Progressive and Death Metal with a more theatrical style and fantasy themes like for example a creation myth on The Final Day.
The music is set in a world that is created in the morning of a new day and destroyed at nightfall.
This world is watched over by three gods. The manifestation of order, the manifestation of chaos and the balance between them.
As mentioned before the first album deals purely with the creation myth of this world and the three gods themselves.
Later works (already being written and composed) follow mortals and immortals living in that world.
