Quietus Khan was born in Waco, Tx. on the city's infamous east side, in the city's worst projects, the Pecan Garden apts. He grew up in a single parent household as the youngest of three kids. His mother did her best to provide for him and his siblings. With no father figure around and very few positive role models to look up to, poverty and the everyday struggles of urban living would soon lure Quietus into the street life. Soon He would be selling drugs and involved with gangs. By the time he was in sixth grade his neighborhood resembled a scene from New Jack City! Quietus lost his best friend to gun violence; was shot in a brawl at the local skating rink, and convicted for attempted murder all by the age of 17. The 8 years in prison gave him all the time he needed to work on getting his life right and focus on his talent and God given gift - MUSIC. And in 2000, after 8 years behind bars, Quietus Khan was back with a new mentality and hunger to make the music work by any means... Texas Family Entertainment, the label he started and co-owns with long time friend D. Sadler.
