Music has always been such a bit part of our lives. Both our mother and father were musical and at one point our mother and sister would compete against our father and his brother in local talent shows When we were very young, out dad taught us to sing harmonies and use to have us perform for the local senior citizens and in talent shows.
A career behind the microphones was a natural progression for us. We needed no further encouragement! There is something special playing live music. I’ve tried on occasion to describe the felling I get, but only other musicians really understand. Only they understand the feelings of self-satisfaction, crowd appreciation, road trips, set ups, tear downs, rehearsals and the ever important comradeship. Music has been a special gift and continues to be a major part of our lives.
We would like to thank, first and foremost, all the wonderful fans who supported us over the years and continued to show up now and again when we performed as the “Shelbar Ryly Bros”, our families, Greg Thomas who managed us long before we went into the studio for the first time and who remained a great friend, Mel Shaw, Ken Yip. Bill Appleby, Dan Lowe, Steve Graupe, Darren Koch and Canadian Radio for all the airplay that contributed to our success.
