A New Mexico artist who goes by the name of Quality With Some Taste or aka Qwst (pronounced: k-wEHst) was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM; who from an early age grew an interest in music. Qwst was heavily influenced in the music genres of Rock, Pop, R&B, Rap/Hip-Hop, Oldies, and Mexican Music such as: Rancheras, Corridos, Norteno etc. First pursuing Rap/Hip-Hop in his Sophmore year of high-school, with the encouragement of his friend ST1 (Stone Curley) and his two older brothers, <a href="spotify:artist:53GKQERUQF2A0I3MYniyzs" data-name="Aioni">Aioni</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2CBtFkU2wsgZLnVXqkd1HK" data-name="Ciryus the Modern Marvel">Ciryus the Modern Marvel</a>; who are also two of NM Artist. Qwst would later start releasing music in the beginning year of 2020 with Aioni as individuals, but also under the group known as Zebgang.
In the beginning year of 2023, Qwst would release his first EP, <a href="spotify:album:6a1uCfGL6VMnJVxqF3h2m2" data-name="One Less">One Less</a>. Soon after, he would get nominated and win the New Mexico Music Awards Latin Category for the track <a href="spotify:track:1zHtyzatdDOwVig67zVKik" data-name="Una Probadita">Una Probadita</a> along side of <a href="spotify:artist:0K3s00RNdlGiN8FMHVTt4d" data-name="Brian De J.">Brian De J.</a> And Madik of Madik Innovation Being recognized for the quality, style, and production of their music.
Soon after, Qwst would go on to release a dual collaboration album in 2024 with <a href="spotify:artist:0sUQELB02ocrzQz3mZNfXz" data-name="Gilly Soul">Gilly Soul</a> called <a href="spotify:album:1RlJssjT39EG2utuiXEz9p" data-name="Today's Gift Tomorrow's Blessing">Today's Gift Tomorrow's Blessing</a>. Providing a glimpse of what life has brought them through. Sharing their experiences, as well as reminding everyone to cherish each day as a gift because tomorrow's never promised. But with each new day you get to take another breath of life, consider it a blessing. Qwst continues to work on new projects with the likes of other New Mexico artists.
