I started playing guitar in high school, inspired by blues and instrumental rock, and since then have listened to a lot of music and been inspired by a wide variety of artists such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Andy Timmons, George Benson, John Petrucci, BB king, Jimi Hendrix, Nuno Bettencourt, Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Guthrie Govan, Greg Howe, Slash and many other artists who literally shaped my conception of music.

I have Moroccan roots, Morocco is a beautiful country with a rich oriental culture, not only in music but also in many other arts. I have always been surrounded by this culture since my parents are from there and it is a blessing. I love oriental music and I noticed that we hardly have the chance to hear a guitar in our traditional music called Gnawa. Gnawa music has been around for hundreds of years now, and many people would say it is one of the foundations of African music as a whole. So I decided to try to create a new style, if I may say so, by taking the best of what I hear in modern music and mixing it with our traditional way of making music.
