Ra V

My name is Ravneil Singh, aka Ra V, and I come from the beautiful islands of Fiji. Being an island boy I have always been exposed to all kinds of music and developed an interest in it very early in my life. However, I did not make anything of it as I knew that it could never be a career option for me, the reason being that in my country it is very difficult to make a living doing music. Therefore I pursued a career in medicine which I also enjoy doing.I used to tell myself that maybe in the future when I am settled I could always do music as a hobby. This all changed in 2016, when I was sent to Koro Island, which is one of the smaller islands in Fiji, as a medical officer to offer my services to the people there. Three days after I arrived, Cyclone Winston came, which was a category 5 cyclone and one of the strongest ever in the world to make landfall. Being sure that that I wouldn't survive it a lot of things went through my mind. One of them being that I would never be able to make music. By gods grace we survived the cyclone and I came to a realization that if you have a dream should not wait to achieve it because life can always deceive you. From that moment I started writing songs and learning music production. And now four years later I am releasing all the songs that were shelved all those years ago. I simultaneously also excelled in my medical career currently doing surgery. However my music journey will continue and I have no intention of stopping anytime soon.
