Raccoon Recession Committee

Raccoon Recession Committee is an American indie rock project founded by Wes Hammer. Wes is currently the only musician, and composer of the band. "Oxymoron" is actually the third release from RRC. The project also produced an album entitled "Transcendence", as well as an EP entitled "Omnichord Jam", which were both released in 2018. "Oxymoron" is a concept album centered around a teenage boy who is undergoing mental torment from being able to see other worlds, and dimensions that no other human has discovered before. The record follows through a journey of how his personal life is affected by him overworking himself, and having dreams of exploring these strange worlds, and the beings that dwell in them. The lyrics are accompanied by fuzzy melodies, aggressive rhythms, and trippy production. The album also features additional vocals by Melody Kiser, Michael Bateman, and Ethan Stewart. "Oxymoron" features influences of everything from Pink Floyd to The Staple Singers, and really lets your mind ascend to another realm. It is also best listened to through headphones for maximum stereo quality. (@_@)
