Rachael is a singer/songwriter originally from Ngunnawal Country (Canberra). Rachael relocated to Naarm (Melbourne) in 2017, to pursue her passion for music by enrolling in a Bachelor Degree at ‘Collarts’ (The Australian College of The Arts) and spent four years being mentored by some of Australia’s most influential musical icons such as; Ella and Jesse Hooper (Killing Heidi), Dallas Frasca and Ainslie Wills, just to name a few. Rachael has since moved to regional Victoria and is now working and living in Ballarat.
Rachael’s musical accolades so far include co-writing a song with ‘Benny Walker’ called We’re Home, being a shortlisted finalist for the Victoria Music Awards, performing on stage with Dallas Frasca while opening for Kira Puru, being mentored 1:1 by Liz Stringer for APRA’s Women In Music Competition, performing for The Human Rights Film Festival during 2020, performing live online during covid for Green Music alongside Jen Cloher as well as performing as part of Isolaid not once but twice, and performing live around Melbourne both solo and with her band regularly.
With heavy influences from artists such as; Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac, The Chicks (FNA The Dixie Chicks), Lera Lynn, Kate Miller-Heidke, Eagles & Phil Collins/Genesis, Rachael’s music is described as country-pop with a very modern outlook and catchy melodies, that get stuck in your head with ease.
