Blending Alt-Country, Rock & Roll and Bohemian Blues, Racing Birds create a unique but familiar feeling in the listener. Neon signs, loud guitars, fading tail lights . . . the sights and sounds of a late-night drive through Southern California in 1969. Racing Birds are musicians and songwriters Jeremy Strother and Bobbie Lee Stamper who have separately toured, recorded and performed with many noted artists across the US and Australia. Produced and recorded by guitarist Bobbie Lee Stamper, Racing Birds’ music has a raw, captivating edge, drawing you into the song’s story, with Jeremy’s passionate and honest vocals. The Lonesome Blues EP is a collection of four of the duo’s most evocative songs. Forgoing the use of a traditional studio and studio musicians, the duo wanted to capture the heat and energy of the backyard garage in Sydney where the songs were written, and performed everything on the EP themselves.
