Since childhood Jon Gilman aka Racket Club has been about rhythm. He grew up a drummer in Jazz, Symphonic, and Rock bands. His style includes a wide range of House Music, with a love for bouncy bass lines under infectious vocal hooks. He’s played around the world including Splash House Music Festival, Groove Cruise, venues in LA, SF, New York, Boston, the beaches of Thailand, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Colombia. He'll play everything from Funk and Disco, to energetic Tech and Peak Hour Dance Music – his ability to read a crowd, curate a vibe, and deliver on the dance floor is unmatched.
Racket Club has also made a name for himself on the production side, with several works becoming fan favorites including his edit of Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love” with thousands of downloads and featured on BBC Radio 1. Plus remixes of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" and Journey's "Don't Stop Believin". He’s released tracks on Hood Politics, Quincy Boy Records, Among Friends, Top Shelf Disco, and several more due out this year.
In addition to being an artist, Racket Club has worn many hats in the music space. He is an event producer including the popular series Pizza & Techno, a co-founder of the music blog My Music Is Better Than Yours, A&R at two record labels, managed half a dozen artists, and is now building his artist development agency The Racket House. This Denver-based musician is one to watch – his sole purpose is to make booties shake
